What is Interventional Pain Management?
Interventional pain management is different than most traditional treatment methods used today. Instead of an immediate recommendation for pain medication or surgery, interventional pain strategies emphasize the importance of a precise diagnosis, a comprehensive treatment program, and the use of pain-blocking strategies.
We use a variety of injections and other therapies to help you eliminate your pain or decrease your pain to a tolerable level that allows you to maintain the activities of your daily life. Each patient’s treatment plan is customized. Chronic pain control is a journey, it is usually not a quick fix.Â
When it comes to pain, finding an effective solution is often a long journey. Interventional pain management strategies utilize a comprehensive approach that enables each patient to achieve lasting results. With several options and an emphasis on proper diagnosis, we use conventional, alternative, and holistic methods to ensure your total body health.
With interventional pain management strategies, many patients can avoid surgery and wean off prescription pain medication use.
Harbor Interventional Pain Center will be there to help you on your journey to eliminate or control your chronic pain.

Do you need a Pain Management Physician?
Millions of Americans live with chronic pain daily. The onset of their pain may occur from a fall, an accident, surgery, a disease process. The pain sometimes may be idiopathic in nature. Most acute pain will improve with time. However, if an individual does not experience a decrease in their pain symptoms, they may need to reach out to their primary care physician or surgeon.
Ideally, the primary care physician or surgeon will recognize the pain as chronic and will refer the patient to a pain management specialist.
A comprehensive pain management plan can help you feel better physically and mentally. Although it isn’t always possible to find total relief from pain, you may be able to reduce pain or learn to respond to it in a different way. Many people with chronic pain enjoy a better quality of life with a pain management program.
